Charity in Action

Charity in action

If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

                                                James 2:16-17

The Charity in Action Committee of Saint Clarence Church was established so that we, as a faith community, might live out the discipleship way of life offered to us in Matthew 25.

Our charitable efforts seek to:

Give food to the hungry

Give drink to the thirsty

Welcome the stranger

Clothe the naked

Care for the ill

Visit the imprisoned

As disciples of Christ we recognize that what we do for our brothers and sisters, especially the least among us, so we do unto Christ.

In our outreach we seek to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and our neighbor as ourselves.
