O.I.C.A.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

EXPERIENCE THE CALL TO A DEEP LIVING FAITH

O.C.I.A. is a process for and about people: people on the move, people being remade in the image of Christ, people being reborn in the spirit, people on a journey together toward faith and enrichment. The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is for anyone thinking about becoming Catholic, for Catholics who were baptized only and who now wish to complete their sacramental initiation with the reception of Eucharist and/or Confirmation, and for Catholics who want to learn more about their faith or who are returning to the Church after a period of time away.

I want to extend to you a personal invitation to explore the still small voice of God as He calls to you. I want to extend to you an invitation to experience discipleship, community and life with the faith community of the Church of Saint Clarence. We welcome you always!

The O.C.I.A. is a time for us to reflect upon our own personal and communal relationship with God and the continuing call to conversion of mind and heart that is characteristic of the Christian way of life.

The O.C.I.A. typically begins in either September or October of the calendar year and runs through Easter of the next year.  We meet on Tuesday nights from 7:00 p.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m. in the Gathering Room off to the right as you enter the main church building.  We do look to have a sufficient number of persons for the O.C.I.A. to foster the community aspect that the rite envisions.
